812. . . . Sevyn Banks, Ohio State Buckeyes. 3. player

Might Sevyn Banks be someone that the Philadelphia Eagles are eyeing?

They may not wind up being the best of the NFL’s bunch, but the Ohio State Buckeyes have put a lot of pro-level cover guys on the field recently. Heading into the 2021 Big Ten and college football season, they’ll have another.

Sevyn Banks isn’t just the best cover guy that Ohio State will put on the field. He’s one of the five best cover guys if you look all over the NCAA’s landscape. He’s six-foot-one and tips the scales at 200 pounds. There’s no need to worry about him being bullied.

He should gain some valuable experience as he moves through what will probably be his final season in Columbus, Ohio. He racked up 23 total tackles and scored a defensive touchdown off of a fumble recovery in 2020, and that gives him 35 stops, nine pass breakups, and an interception during his 20-game run, but the numbers don’t tell the tale here. He’s better than his stats indicate.

Keep an eye on him as we move through next season and towards the NFL Draft a year from now.
