54. . . . Anthony Harris, safety. . player

Harris is exactly the guy that can lead the Philadelphia Eagles secondary.

When it was reported that the Philadelphia Eagles signed former Minnesota Vikings defensive back Anthony Harris, everyone was shocked. It isn’t every day a player of his caliber is just sitting there available for the taking.

The big-bodied safety is able to roam the backend of the defense and affect the game in a multitude of ways. Whether you place him near the line of scrimmage or you allow him to play center field, Harris has a nose for the football. He will be the perfect addition to the City of Brotherly Love.

By no means is the Harris signing a ‘splash’ signing, but he has the tools to be a star for the Birds. That’s something they haven’t had since they allowed Malcolm Jenkins to walk away in free agency a few years ago.

Now, with Harris in the fold, the Eagles defense will be able to do a lot of the things they did when Jenkins was in tow. Philly fans should keep an eye on this young man as he’s going to be a joy to watch.
