54. . . . Kevon Seymour. 2. player

Kevon Seymour is officially on the Philadelphia Eagles roster bubble.

If Kevon Seymour isn’t anything else, he’s battle-tested. A sixth-round draft choice in 2016 (that same draft that Philly landed that red-headed quarterback in), this six-foot, 185-pound prospect has already seen three different rosters since entering the league. He definitely knows how this training camp stuff works.

Stints with the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers led Seymour to the Philadelphia Eagles in December of last year. Ten days after his arrival, he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. Unfortunately, his time to shine came and went a lot faster than he wanted.

14 days after his promotion, an injury led him to the team’s IR (injured reserve), and from there he was waived on January 6th but signed a future/reserves contract a couple of days later. It’s been a long road for Seymour and a bit of a roller-coaster ride, but that’s, at times, the life of a former sixth-round draft choice. The numbers game suggests that it will be tough for him to make this roster, but it isn’t impossible.

Keep an eye on him as we move through training camp.
