The Philadelphia Eagles certainly aren’t immune to landing a few busts.

It’s still one of the more baffling things about this Philadelphia Eagles team. Why on Planet Earth is JJ Arcega-Whiteside still a member of this football team? Okay, the D.K. Metcalf angle is unfortunate, but it’s also understandable (and a little played out). Then again, no one wants to admit this now, but when D.K. was a big topic as a draft prospect, that neck injury was on a lot of teams’ minds.

There were several teams that decided they didn’t want to gamble on him, and just like that, JJAW became Philly’s second selection in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Metcalf came off of the board seven spots later at 64. D.K. is a star. JJAW has limped through this league ever since. He has to be seen as a disappointment.

Philly is in a bit of a quandary. There are several guys that they’ve invested in that may be more of a hindrance to this team’s success than an asset. JJAW definitely qualifies, but there are others.

If they don’t get rid of this guy now and trick someone into trading them something for him, he’ll eventually leave, and Philly will get nothing. This team could use all of the help it can get, and maybe this guy could be a trade piece, maybe.

The jury is still out on the 2020 draft class. Fingers are crossed about not only the 2021 class but a few vets that have been here for a while as well. Let’s talk about some guys who may buckle under the pressure in 2021. It may be too early to call some of these other guys busts, but we’ve all seen enough to know that they’re definitely completely capable of disappointing a few Eagles fans during the coming season.
