Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders

Running back is a position that has been devalued over the past decade or so. NFL GMs no longer see them as cornerstone pieces to building a contending team. There are a few exceptions though, guys like Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey. The Saints and Panthers build their offense around those guys and it goes as they go.

Now Miles Sanders is not in the same neighborhood as those backs yet. He does possess the same ability to be a versatile weapon in the offense. A guy who can run both inside and out, get the tough yards, and break off home run plays in the blink of an eye. Sanders just has to put it all together. Be consistent catching the ball, get ample touches, and stay healthy. If he is able to do that he can become one of the NFL’s elite young backs.

Sanders becoming a franchise back helps the offense more than can be stated. Having a dynamic threat in the backfield takes the pressure off the quarterback and allows for the offense to attack down the field more often and with more success.

If all 5 of these young Eagles reach their potential and stay healthy, this franchise will be back competing for a Super Bowl sooner rather than later.
