Several Philadelphia Eagles had really good nights, including these three.

You already know that Jordan Mailata and Quez Watkins had really good nights. Here are three other guys that played fairly well.

1. Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Tarron Jackson

Tarron Jackson didn’t craft a stat line that people will look at a day later and say that he balled out, but seriously, how long has it been since you watched a game and you said “that guy gives maximum effort on every play”?

Tarron Jackson has earned the praise of his teammates and his coaches during training camp, and it’s easy to see why. He may not have gotten the results that he wanted during his first outing, but if he listens to his coaches and keeps playing with the motor that we all saw in Philly’s first preseason game, he will.

First impressions mean everything, and this young man made a big one.

2. Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Milton Williams

You normally won’t see coaches entrust someone so young with so many responsibilities. This young Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff really trusts this young defensive lineman though.

They’ve played Milton Williams at defensive tackle. They’ve played him at the defensive end position. He’s looked supremely comfortable wherever he lines up. There was some controversy about this pick when it happened, but the Birds may have knocked this one out of the park.

3. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Joe Flacco

Following Joe Flacco‘s first appearance while wearing the jersey of the team that he grew up playing for the analysis of what everyone saw from Joe Flacco is all over the place. Some say he should be the starter. Others think we’ve learned nothing about Joe Flacco other than what we should already know.

He’s a veteran quarterback in the twilight of his career that beat up on some backups and a few guys that probably won’t be on the Steelers’ roster once we arrive at the start of the regular season. Relax guys and gals. This is still Jalen Hurts’ team, as it should be.
