Zech McPhearson has the tools to be the next Philadelphia Eagles superstar.

At five-foot-eleven and 190-pounds, cornerback, Zech McPhearson has good size to go along with the skillset to compete in the National Football league. At least that’s what most of us thought when the Philadelphia Eagles decided to select him in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Honestly, when scouring the internet, you would be hard-pressed to find a writer or report praising the Eagles front office for the selection, yet when you watch his film (not his highlights) and truly study the former Texas Tech Red Raider, you see a player with all the tools to be a legitimate star at the highest level of football.

Despite initially being an afterthought, McPhearson has turned heads, both on this Eagles team and in the media. A player who some thought was a project when the Birds drafted him now looks like the future of the Philadelphia Eagles cornerback room.

He’s capable of being shifted around the backend of the defense, McPhearson has the versatility to his game that coaches covet in their young prospects. Add that to his aggressive nature, natural swagger, and football intelligence, and the Eagles may have a star in the making.
