Do the Philadelphia Eagles have a weapon in Tyree Jackson?

Remember the old saying the more you can do, the better? Well, that statement takes on a whole new meaning when it comes to guys who are trying to make the roster in the National Football league.

Perhaps no one on the current roster exemplifies that sentiment like former Buffalo Bull/Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyree Jackson. A mammoth of a man (he’s six-foot-seven and weighs 245 pounds). He’s blessed with amazing athletic makeup, and the football intelligence coaches go searching for. Jackson has all the tools to be a true weapon in the Philadelphia Eagles offense this year and in the years ahead.

No one’s sure about how they’ve done it, but the Eagles front office always seems to find potential standouts at the tight end position. This year, it seems as though they found another in the former gunslinger.

He’s capable of making all the plays, running clean routes, and blocking at the point of contact. He has a giant catch radius. While he didn’t stand out in week one of the preseason, he still did everything right which is exactly what you want to see in a guy that’s changing positions. Moving forward, Jackson will be an interesting player to keep a very close eye on.
