The Philadelphia Eagles figure to look different on offense in 2021.

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz

Okay, so Zach Ertz technically won’t be playing, but you get the idea. An offseason that saw him shout at Howie Roseman, earn the right to seek a trade, and ultimately, find his way back to the only NFL team he’s ever played for seemingly ended with hugs and a happy reunion.

Some might even say that this 2021 regular season gives Zach Ertz something he deserves, one last ride with the football team and fans that we know he loves with all of his heart. There’s just one thing. That voice in the back of everyone’s head that’s telling you that Zach Ertz might get traded won’t stop speaking.

Don’t be surprised if Howie Roseman pulls something off in the 11th hour, just as he did when that redheaded quarterback came to town and Philly traded Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside

Let’s make this as quick and as painless as possible because, now, it just feels like we’re kicking JJ Arcega-Whiteside while he’s down. Let’s take some inventory though.

DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Quez Watkins, Travis Fulgham, and Greg Ward are the best wide receivers on this team and should make the roster. If Philly keeps six, there’s no guarantee that JJAW would win that spot over John Hightower. Don’t look now, but the Arcega-Whiteside experiment may be nearing its conclusion.
