Olivier Vernon would further solidify the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive front.

The one thing that all Philadelphia Eagles fans can agree on is the fact that the Birds’ defensive front can be dominant. Sure, the front line of this defense seems to be this team’s biggest strength, but depth is lacking on the edges.

Veteran pass rusher Olivier Vernon can change that fact in a hurry. He’s spent time with the Miami Dolphins, the New York Giants, and the Cleveland Browns over the course of his solid nine years. With 63.5 career sacks, nine forced fumbles, and an interception to his name, Vernon could be an excellent acquisition for the Eagles’ defense.

Howie Roseman should take a long look at the pass rusher.

The word is that Vernon is looking for a team that will compete for a Super Bowl, so he may not be too expensive. The Philadelphia Eagles are a good team right now, and convincing him that he elevates this team’s defense could do the trick.

Imagine Vernon playing alongside Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, and rookie Milton Williams. That could make for a few nightmares for quarterbacks having to face this line. This could be the perfect addition for a team that wants to surprise people.
