Philadelphia Eagles roster notes: Winners, losers from preseason finale
Philadelphia Eagles duds from the preseason finale
Jack Stoll, tight end
Jack Stoll has had his opportunities, especially with Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert sitting and guys like Jason Croom and Tyree Jackson getting hurt. He just hasn’t done much with them. He’s had some bad-looking drops, and that isn’t what a guy on the roster bubble needs.
Michael Jacquet, cornerback
The struggles continue for Michael Jacquet. He was beaten badly on the Jets’ first touchdown toss of the game. He tried to jam the receiver, Lawrence Cager, at the line of scrimmage, missed him, and mistimed his jump in a last-ditch effort to knock the pass attempt down.
Sure, he had the strip, recovery, and dash to the end zone, and that was a nice moment for him and the team. Still, that doesn’t erase all of the bad moments. It’s become increasingly hard to make an argument for why he should be on the roster.
Matt Pryor, offensive lineman
There’s no nice way to say this. Matt Pryor can’t play, and we’ve seen over and over again, that it’s hard to figure out what he’s thinking sometimes.
