The Philadelphia Eagles should be able to secure a week one victory.

We have discussed a lot of what Philadelphia Eagles fans should expect to see as the Birds face the Atlanta Falcons for their first game of the 2021 season. We have discussed the various packages that both this offense and defense can deploy and as well as what Atlanta will be bringing to the game.

However, the main question remains, what will the Eagles have to do to secure this win? Considering that we only know what we have seen from preseason and limited practices, this will have to be pieced together. Still, from what we know about coach Siranni and defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon should be straightforward.

Philly’s defense will deploy various packages depending on what the Falcons decide to lineup with but expect corner-back Darius Slay to roam with wide receiver Calvin Ridley and the rest of the secondary to run a hybrid zone scheme. The defensive line will more than likely initiate blitz packages early on.

The offense will be balanced under Siranni’s playcalling, but considering the Falcons’ secondary woes, they will more than likely lean pass-heavy. With quarterback Jalen Hurts running ability, fans could see many run-pass options coming out of this offense.

We Never want to place negativity so early in the season, but fans can trust that the new head coach will address the errors even if the Eagles lose this matchup. Everyone, including us here at ITI, is absolutely excited to see what this team will look like at full capacity, so stay tuned.
