. . . Lane Johnson, right tackle. 65. player. 54

The Philadelphia Eagles need Lane Johnson to return to form.

Out of these three players, the staff at ITI is least concerned about Lane Johnson. He didn’t even have that bad of performance in Week 1. It was a much better showing than the first two names on this list.

The reason he is on this list is because of the opponent this week. The Birds need a quick turnaround from him with that San Francisco defensive front. Nick Bosa will likely lineup on Mailata’s side of the line most of the time but Johnson will still have to deal with Arik Armstead and Dee Ford.

Armstead wasn’t the same player in 2020 that he was in 2019 and last week he only pressured Jared Goff once. However, he is one of those players who could show up on any given Sunday and have himself game.

Trending. Expectations for what’s left of Gainwell’s rookie year. light

Ford is back in action after missing all but one game in 2020 due to a back injury. He looked like his old self with one sack and two quarterback hits. Defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans said that Ford looked “fast and explosive” in his return. While both have strong skillsets, they shouldn’t be too big of a challenge for Johnson if he is on his A-game. Philadelphia would benefit greatly from a strong performance out of him.
