Here are the answers to some of the questions the Philadelphia Eagles have.

Inside The Iggles: Both of our fan bases have had some pretty lengthy runs with Andy Reid now. Does he still have the heart of the Chiefs fan base or are fans growing weary and seeing more of the deficiencies?

Matt Conner: Oh man, I’d say not at all.

I mean, the Chiefs are in what they hope is the start of a long-term dynasty. Patrick Mahomes just turned 26 and Andy Reid looks like a man having a lot of fun with the weapons at his disposal.

Reid has his detractors, who can be loud on socials, but they are in the clear minority. Chiefs Kingdom loves Big Red and would hate to see him go anywhere else!

Inside The Iggles: Do we undervalue the Chiefs’ defense more than they should? They have playmakers. What’s it going to take for them to catapult themselves into the elite status?

Matt Conner: No. The Chiefs are a total mess defensively and you should value them accordingly.

They have a couple of names, to be sure, on defense, but they are also making weird personnel decisions at present that have a lot of fans confused. Tyrann Mathieu is there and is always going to be a strong presence. However, Chris Jones has been moved to defensive end up front instead of allowing him to disrupt from the inside and the results are uneven.

Frank Clark costs a ton but is inconsistent and often injured or ill. The linebackers are slow and lost in coverage. The secondary is thin with injuries at cornerback. Juan Thornhill should be a starting safety but there is some undefined tension with the coaching staff and he’s barely playing at all.

The Chiefs should be better than they are here, but they are not and their own decisions are getting in the way. Years of trading draft picks have thinned out the overall talent as well, so there’s not even an exciting pipeline here either.
