Philadelphia Eagles schedule: Chiefs expert shares their biggest weaknesses
Here are a few insider secrets that can help the Philadelphia Eagles out.
Inside The Iggles: Who are the guys that may not get the national attention that Eagles fans need to know on offense and defense?
Matt Conner: Watch for defensive end Mike Danna who was a fifth-round pick last year. He’s getting a real chance to play given Frank Clark’s absence and he’s looking better than anyone could have expected there. Unfortunately, he’s the only end doing any real damage so the overall returns are poor at the position.
On the flip side, the whole offensive front is worth watching, especially the right side with three rookies starting. It’s a pretty impressive unit overall, especially inside with rookie center Creed Humphrey (second round out of Oklahoma) and right guard Trey Smith (out of Tennessee in the sixth round).
Note: The aforementioned Mike Danna is settling into his second season in the National Football League, and so far, he’s appeared in 16 games with three starts. The former fifth-round selection has produced 30 total tackles including five that have resulted in a loss of yardage to go along with 3.5 sacks. He’s also racked an additional ten hits on opposing quarterbacks during those 16 games.
