Philadelphia Eagles schedule: 5 Chiefs to watch on defense

It isn’t often that someone brings the Chiefs up and defense is the first topic discussed. They’ve got some studs on that side of the ball too though. Here are five.

Chris Jones, defensive tackle

The Chiefs have been moving one of the game’s best interior defensive linemen, Chris Jones, to the outside of the formation this season. So far, he’s racked up seven total tackles and two sacks in the first three games.

Nick Bolton, linebacker

Nick Bolton is a game wrecker at the linebacker position having already racked up 23 tackles on the season. That’s good for the team lead.

Daniel Sorensen, safety

Daniel Sorensen is the Chiefs’ second-leading tackler. He has 21 stops, a sack, and a pass breakup on his resume so far this season.

Tyrann Mathieu, saftey

Tyrann Mathieu is about as close as a team can come to cloning Patrick Mahomes and then asking him to play defense. He has 11 tackles, two interceptions, three pass breakups, and a defensive touchdown in two in-game appearances this season.

L’Jarius Sneed, cornerback

One of the men charged with stopping the Eagles’ young trio of wideouts (DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, and Quez Watkins) is K.C.’s L’Jarius Sneed. He’s six-foot-tall. He tips the scales at 189 pounds, and so far this season, he’s added 16 tackles to his NFL resume.
