The Philadelphia Eagles are clearly looking up at the Cowboys.

A quick glance at the schedules of the other teams in the NFC East reveals something about the Philadelphia Eagles almost immediately. They’re staring up at their rivals now, and there’s a possibility that the Dallas Cowboys run away with this division and do so early.

Don’t look now, but while the Eagles are rebuilding, the Cowboys have constructed a roster where, whether you agree or not, you can understand any argument that states they’re better at every position than the Birds are. They’re better at quarterback. They’re better at linebacker and wide receiver.

Once upon a time, the Cowboys were the dysfunctional organization with the meddlesome owner. Sound familiar? Once upon a time, the Cowboys were starting at the Eagles and wondering how they can catch up, but things have shifted. Dallas is building a contender, and Philly will be lucky if they win six games.

Sure, only four games have been played on the 2021-2022 NFL schedule. 13 remain, but the way things are shaping up, the Dallas Cowboys are on a collision course with the postseason, and the Philadephia Eagles are flirting with picking in the top 15 for the second time in as many offseasons.
