Philadelphia Eagles versus Tampa Bay: Buccaneers to watch on offense

It’s a short week. The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL coming to town. The Bucs are firing on all cylinders.

Here are some of the guys that Jonathan Gannon has been talking to his unit about this week. Here are the guys you’ll be seeing a lot of on Thursday.

Ali Marpet/Alex Cappa offensive guards

Normally, when we talk about the pass rush, we discuss the opposing offensive tackles, but seeing as how the most threatening part of the Eagles’ defensive line is at its interior (especially if Fletcher Cox can ever turn it on), Tampa’s attempts to neutralize the most dangerous aspect of Philly’s defensive attack, one that includes Javon Hargrave, will rely on the Bucs’ interior offensive linemen.

Leonard Fournette, running back

The Philadelphia Eagles are getting gashed more and more often by opposing teams’ running games, and the task of turning things around won’t get any easier as the six-foot, 228-pound Leonard Fournette comes to Lincoln Financial Field after having already racked up a 4.5 yards-per-average over the course of the Buccaneer’s first five games.
