Philadelphia Eagles potential trade partner: Baltimore Ravens

Is there anyone else that wonders if Ray Lewis sits up at night and thinks about how many more Super Bowls he might have won had they had Lamar Jackson for a teammate? Seriously, can you imagine Lamar Jackson on that 2000 Baltimore Ravens squad or a few of those teams that got close with Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs on the roster?

Times have changed and Baltimore’s biggest star now is a quarterback. He’s in search of his first ring, and with defensive teammates like Calais Campbell, Patrick Queen, and Marlon Humphrey, the addition of Cox could send this team over the top.

Though you’d be hard-pressed to find any NFL team that can take on Fletcher Cox’s massive 2021 salary, one that swells to near-quarterback levels in 2022, there are some teams that are close and can, maybe, figure out a way to manipulate some of the deals surrounding his to make room for the six-time Pro Bowler.

Throw the Baltimore Ravens in that category. They’re right around the $11.9 million mark in terms of cap space, and though they run a 3-4 scheme on defense, adding Cox could add to an already impressive identity.
