Good news comes for the Philadelphia Eagles offense in Vegas.

Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell combine for 20 carries and 125 yards.

They’ve heard chants about running the ball. They’ve heard the media ask them questions about the same thing.

Head coach Nick Sirianni and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen can say what they want in the press conferences. They want to please this fan base, and they pay more attention to what’s being said than they let on. You’re probably going to see a few more running plays sprinkled in by the Eagles’ offensive coaches.

Sure. they’re probably being told by Jeffery Lurie and Howie Roseman to throw the ball more, but bear with us. We’re making a point here.

The Raiders aren’t very good versus the run, and in a game that should be close, Philly will have their opportunities to employ the running game. Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell will combine for 20 carries and 125 rushing yards as a result.

That’s one reasonable expectation for the offense (or a bold prediction, depending on what side you’re on). Here are two more before we talk about expectations for the defense.
