These Philadelphia Eagles showed up to play against the Raiders.

Studs: The running backs (Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Kenny Gainwell

The Eagles did the right thing in this Week 7 matchup by running the ball (for once.) Combined, Boston Scott, Miles Sanders, and Kenneth Gainwell had 74 rushing yards, 46 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Even after Sanders went down, the Birds gave themselves a chance by not giving up on running the ball.

Gainwell shows that he has big-play ability in both running and the passing game, and Sanders was averaging five yards per carry before his injury. They looked to exploit some of the Raiders’ weaknesses and give their quarterback some help. It was one of the few things that were positive about this game.

Stud: Jalen Reagor, Reciever.

He still isn’t having the season that we had all hoped for, but Jalen Reagor had, by a set of low standards, a solid game. He showed off his speed with a couple of solid punt returns and his aggressiveness at the catch point with a big-time grab and dash for a touchdown gave us all some hope for his future.

In all fairness, that catch was the highlight of the game for the Eagles offense. The jury is still out, however, on what type of player Reagor will become. The word ‘bust’ seems to always follow him, but if he can string a few more plays like that together, there may be hope for him after all.
