Here are a few other nuggets after watching the Philadelphia Eagles offense.

2. Jordan Howard and Boston Scott still have some tread on the tire.

For most of you, Boston Scott‘s ability has been something that you’ve known about since the 2019 season. The votes were split on the subject about whether or not Jordan Howard had anything left, but after watching both of these guys in Week 8, it’s hard to wonder why these guys haven’t been on the field more.

Scott is one of the better players on this offensive unit, and Jordan Howard, now seemingly totally healthy for the first time in years, might be the closest thing to a workhorse that this team has had since LeGarrette Blount.

3. Less may be more for Jalen Hurts’ development.

Give yourself another high five if you were on the side of taking the air out of the ball. Jalen Hurts, who right now looks like a guy who isn’t going to complete more than 53 percent of his passes consistently doesn’t need to throw the ball 40 times a game.

For him to gain some experience, he doesn’t have to drop back as much as some of this team’s leadership seems to think that he does. Maybe stacking the wins and building some confidence is just as important, and if the wins come with him only attempting 14 passes then so be it.

Hurts played the role of supporting actor as opposed to the lead role in Week 8, and honestly, he’s never looked better.
