Eagles versus Chargers Week 9 prop bets

Bet No. 1

  • Jalen Hurts Total Rushing Yards (over 49.5) -125

According to the oddsmakers at WynnBET, the over/under for rushing yards by Jalen Hurts sits at 49.5. Last week, Inside The Iggles told you to take the over on expected rushing yards in Week 8’s game (47.5), and if listened in that one and took the over, you came out as a winner.

Take the over again in Week 9 versus the Chargers for the same reason that you took the over versus Detroit. L.A. gives up a ton of yards on the ground. Heading into Week 9, they were ranked 32nd among 32 teams. Jalen Hurts, though we’ve seen some positive signs, hasn’t progressed to the point that assures us that he won’t consistently abandon the pocket at the first sign of trouble.

The Chargers are better at defending the pass than they are at stopping the opposing team’s ground game, and if Philadelphia utilizes a similar strategy to what they rolled out in Week 8 during Week 9’s game, they’ll rack up the rushing yards yet again. Expect a considerable amount of the team’s total to come from its signal-caller.
