player. 123. . . . Dak Prescott, Cowboys. 1

Right now, Jalen Hurts is still looking up at one quarterback in the division.

As much as it pains us to say this, whether we want to admit to this or not, there was this hope that many of us were hanging on to. Yes, we were hoping that Dak Prescott would have never gotten what he wanted from the Dallas Cowboys because had he not, he could have gone somewhere else and we could have liked him.

Dak’s one of those guys that makes you ask questions like ‘what if he didn’t play for Dallas?’. That isn’t true for anyone else in the Cowboys organization, but it’s true for Dak. He’s pretty likable all things considered.

He wears the blue and grey and that helmet with the star on it though, so it will never work. Dak is the enemy, but he’s also one of the game’s best quarterbacks.

Through eight games of the 2021-2022 NFL season, he’s completing just over 70 percent of his passes on the season. No other quarterback in the NFC East is doing that. He has a 4-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, 20 TD passes versus only five picks. That’s tops in the division.

Dak is proving to a lot of NFL teams that the best course of action might be patience and development with these young signal-callers. It appears to have paid off in a mighty way for the Cowboys, so again, as much as it pains us to say this, Dak is the best quarterback in the division right now. He’s 1-0 versus Jalen Hurts. He’s 4-1 versus Daniel Jones.

Trending. 3 lessons learned ahead of Week 11. light

Dak might be the reason why the other three teams in the NFC East are in such a hurry to find their franchise quarterback. He’s a reminder that the Cowboys have found theirs, and while he isn’t without flaw, right now, Prescott is the reason that so many Eagles fans want this team to get very good and do so very quickly.

Watching this Eagles team lose to the Cowboys in blowout fashion in Week 3 left a sick feeling in everyone’s stomach, a sick feeling that we’d all like to see leave us relatively quickly.
