Bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles on defense.

Eagles cornerback Darius Slay comes up with yet another turnover.

Prior to the Eagles’ decision to trade for Darius Slay during the 2020 offseason, most of what we all knew about him revolved around a few facts that were common knowledge. After all, outside of the fact that we watch them play on Thanksgiving, what reason would we have to watch the Detroit Lions unless they were playing the Eagles?

We knew his nickname was Big Play Slay. We knew he had three Pro Bowls on his resume and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2017 after he and Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard both led the NFL in interceptions in 2017 with eight apiece. Oh, and we also knew he snagged the first interception of Carson Wentz’s career.

Since he’s joined the nest, we’ve learned that he’s supremely confident, and that’s okay. That’s what you want from your cover guys if they can back up the talk, and Slay can clearly do that.

In Week 11, we expect the magic to continue. Expect Big Play to wow us again by forcing another turnover by the Saints’ offense.

The Eagles’ defense holds Saints’ offense to less than 250 total yards en route to a two-score victory.

Yes, you read that correctly. We expect another dominant performance, highlighted by aggressive play by the defense and what’s become the best rushing attack in the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles win this one by two scores. Prediction: Eagles 30, Saints 20
