Welcome to a shortlist of the top two prospects on just about everyone’s draft board as we move towards the beginning stages of next year’s draft process. Chris Olave is someone that we thought might enter the selection meeting a season ago, but he elected to stay in Columbus for another season.

That decision seems to have worked out for him as, now, he’ll more than likely be one of the first two receivers that are taken. 11 regular-season games in 2021 led to 65 receptions, 936 yards, and 13 trips to the end zone.

The valedictorian of the 2022 wide receiver class is Treylon Burks. His size already makes him a mismatch for at least one cornerback on every NFL roster.

If you need an Eagles comparison, he’s two inches shorter than Dallas Goedert and about 31 pounds lighter. Keep in mind the fact that this is a wide receiver we’re talking about.

At six-foot-three and 225 pounds, Burks can immediately slide into a starting outside wide receiver position for just about every NFL team including the Eagles. He can haul in the 50/50 balls that we were tricked into thinking that JJ Arcega-Whiteside would come down with. He’s the explosive runner after the catch that we were duped into thinking Jalen Reagor would be.

In 12 regular-season games during the 2021 campaign, he racked 67 receptions for 1,123 yards, and he reached the end zone 11 times as a receiver and once more as a rusher.
