. . Will Fuller, Dolphins. 4. player. 59.

Don’t confuse this guy with Eagles great William Fuller.

Mention the name Will Fuller around a Philadelphia Eagles fan and they might mistakenly think that you’re discussing defensive end William Fuller, one of the greatest free-agent acquisitions that Philly ever made at the defensive end position.

Forget Jevon Kearse, and we don’t mean that disrespectfully, but if anyone deserved to be called ‘The Freak’, it was William.

From 1994 to 1996, Fuller made the Pro Bowl at the end of every season. He recorded 236 total tackles, 12 forced fumbles, and 36.5 sacks (those numbers include three playoff games) in an Eagles. Many moons later, there’s another Will Fuller that’s making a name for himself around the NFL, and like the aforementioned defensive end, he’s someone the City of Brotherly Love knows well.

Before being taken 21st-overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, Will Fuller V was a standout in Philly at Roman Catholic High School. He signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on March 20th of 2021, broke his thumb in Week 4, and was placed on the team’s IR (injured reserve) on October 6th.

The Dolphins have yet to ink the six-foot-one, 184-pound wide receiver to a new extension, so if the Eagles are indeed looking for help at wide receiver by the time the free-agency frenzy arrives in 2022, they might want to go shopping in South Beach.
