Eagles defensive tackle Milton Williams

Milton Williams just isn’t one of those first four or five names that you bring up when you mention the Eagles, what it’s going to take to get them to the postseason, and the young guns who this team needs to build around for the future. It’s hard to find your way into those types of conversations when you play the same position as both Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave.

Make no mistake about it though folks. This guy can play.

Now, we’ve become so statistically and highlight-driven that we can miss the things that he’s doing if we’re not paying attention, but whenever Williams gets on the field, he does great things. He influences a bad throw. He disrupts what would have been a rather comfortable pocket and/or throwing lane. He even notched his first career sack versus the Detroit Lions in Week 8.

The impact that Milton Williams is making isn’t putting huge dents in the stat sheet, but the numbers will come. This is someone you can be happy about. We pick on Howie Roseman a ton. Heck, he deserves it, but he mat have knocked the ball out of the park with this draft, thanks in part to the development we’re seeing from Number 93.
