31. 31. 54. Final. 17

The Philadelphia Eagles get their revenge at The Linc.

While there’s never any reason to celebrate a total-team implosion, especially one that results in a loss at the hands of a team that should have been beaten, by the time we reach game day in Week 16, there’s a chance that the Eagles’ Week 12 snafu in New Jersey versus the hated New York Giants could serve as some added motivation during Philly’s late-season playoff push.

It seemed like the end of the world when it happened. Still, if any loss by a 5-7 team can be seen as the ignition to some sort of fuse, this would be one of them.

The Eagles did all that they could to give the game away to their rivals, and eventually, they did. If we haven’t learned anything else about Philadelphia through the 2021 campaign, however, it should be this. There isn’t any game that this team doesn’t expect to win.

The Eagles have been blown out on several occasions during the regular season, but the loss versus Big Blue in Week 12 was their most embarrassing. Expect a focused Eagles team to show up in Week 16 that expects to avenge that loss, and avenge that loss they shall.
