Maybe Jake Elliott isn’t under the radar, but we need to take a moment to appreciate the bounce-back season he is having. About one year ago, we saw Elliott miss a 22-yard field goal at the end of the first half versus the Saints. Thankfully, it didn’t affect the outcome but everyone was tired of Elliott’s inconsistency especially from short distances. This year, he has only missed two kicks and one of those misses came as a result of a blocked punt.

Elliott is one of just three kickers to have a field goal percentage greater than 90 percent and a perfect extra point percentage.  Elliott has a lot more confidence and deserves some recognition for what he is doing.

Fans should keep an eye on how he does in certain weather conditions with a colder time of year approaching. He is used to it but there is only so much you can control with the environment around you.
