Speaking of special teams, Shaun Bradley was tied for first in the NFC for special teams tackles just a few weeks ago. With the bye week and the wait for this week’s game, he has probably fallen back a bit but he’ll be right back out there ready to chase that lead in the last few weeks ago.
We mention it all the time with special teamers: even when they aren’t making tackles, they’re often forcing them for teammates by being in the right place at the right time. Bradley has done that.
Last year, he had a few key plays on defense including in the Saints game. On fourth and two when Josh Sweat sacked Taysom Hill, Bradley had the middle of the field and prevented the post to Emmanuel Sanders.
The Birds are thin at linebacker as Bradley is the backup to both Singleton and Edwards so they’ll need that depth and his consistent contributions on special teams. The Temple Tuff mentality has shown in the NFL.
