These Eagles are definitely worth a mention, for good reasons and bad.

There are studs. There are duds, and then, there are guys that may not be in either category but still need to be pointed out. Thrown these guys in the category of ‘half and half’.

Half-and-half: JJ Arcega-Whiteside

It’s understandable why you would have a blocking tight end. The concept of a blocking wide receiver makes less sense. Why not, instead, find a guy that can block and catch? Maybe this team should have hired Hines Ward as its WR coach when they had the opportunity.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside will, however, avoid the duds list by jumping on the fumble Kenneth Gainwell coughed up on the opening kickoff. That could have been catastrophic.

Half-and-half: Jalen Reagor, wide receiver

Jalen Reagor seems to have lost his job as the Eagles kick returner, and if we’re being frank, he isn’t much of a punt returner either. He did have a nice return in the second half and a couple of nice snags to offset an ugly dropped pass in the second half though.
