The Eagles have found gold in this Cincinnati Bearcats program before!

Can you believe that people are trying to play this card stating that Alabama is an underdog? No one from Tuscaloosa to the Queen City believes that, but okay we’ll roll with it. For the sake of argument, let’s look at this from the other angle.

Let’s just pretend Cincy is the underdog. From what we understand, they intend to show up, and they have no intention of rolling over, so if they’re going to win. They need to remember one thing. Once upon a time, Jim Valvano rode the momentum to a title. Once upon a time, Villanova toppled a might Georgetown team.

If you need a football reference just think of the 2017-2018 Eagles. It won’t be easy, but it’s possible. Here are five stars from the Bearcats program to watch.

Desmond Ridder, quarterback

Desmond Ridder can potentially be one of the NFL’s next generation of dual-threat quarterbacks. He’s got the arm. He can run, and as we approach April, you can expect to hear words thrown around like ‘leadership’ and ‘intangibles’.

He completed 65.9% of his passes in 2021. That led to 30 touchdowns versus only eight interceptions, 164.8 QB rating, and 3,190 passing yards.
