Philadelphia Eagles Week 18 studs

Here are the standout players from the Eagles’ last game of the 2021-2022 regular season.

1. Kenneth Gainwell, running back

Kenneth Gainwell was worth the price of admission in Week 18. He racked up a 6.5 yards-per-carry average, which is impressive enough, but there’s more to the story here.

He led Philadelphia’s rushing attack with 78 yards and a touchdown dash on 12 carries. He also caught four passes for nine yards and racked up a 28-yard kick return average tallying 84 yards on three attempts.

2. Jason Huntley, running back

Jason Huntley added fuel to anyone’s fire that has been clamoring to see the speedster. He was second on the team in rushing with 51 yards on 13 carries (that included an impressive looking 18-yarder), but here’s what was more impressive about this young man.

With less than five minutes to go in a contest that Philly clearly wasn’t going to win, he was still running and fighting for extra yards like his team still had a chance.

Don’t tell this guy that the game didn’t matter!

3. Milton Williams, defensive tackle

Milton Williams‘ selection started an argument by Philly’s brass on the second day of the most recent NFL Draft, but it’s hard to imagine that everyone isn’t on board now. He’s a nice companion piece to Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave, and in  Week 18, he proved he can function as the guy this Eagles defense relies on in the middle.

He tallied three tackles in the finale, including two that resulted in a loss of yardage. He also registered a quarterback hit and the Eagles’ only pass deflection of the game.

4. K’Von Wallace, safety

None of the reserves had perfect games. It’s still nice to say K’Von Wallace’s name.

A fourth-round draft choice in 2020, Mr. Wallace, who’s always been a special teams mainstay, led the Eagles defense in tackles with eight. All of which were solo tackles.

Again, it wasn’t perfect. It was solid though.
