Notre Dame might shrink in big games when they need to be at their best. They may have watched the winningest coach in their program’s tenure leave in a manner that could have been handled better, but this program rarely has issues with recruiting and developing future NFL stars. Look no further than Kyle Hamilton if you need an example of that statement.

Hamilton’s three seasons at the collegiate level led to 138 tackles including 97 of the solo variety and 7.5 stops for a loss of yardage. Add that to eight picks, a defensive touchdown, and 16 pass breakups in 31 games at the collegiate level.

We’ll see how Marcus Freeman does with that ‘winning in big games’ deal.

. player. 811. . . . Daxton Hill, Michigan

Here’s who we see as the top safeties in the coming NFL Draft: Hamilton, Penn State Nittany Lion Jaquan Brisker, USC Trojan Isaiah Pola-Moa, and two Michigan Wolverines teammates: Brad Hawkins, and Daxton Hill.

Now, in terms of talent, Brisker might be the second most talented guy on that list. He also spends a ton of time on the medical table, so we’ll move Hill up to the second guy on our draft board.

As of right now, everyone besides Hamilton makes more sense as a Day 2 guy, but depending on how these guys develop throughout the draft process, they could climb on everyone’s board. Keep an eye on them.
