The Eagles won’t be the only team eyeing Vic Fangio if they’re interested.

It wasn’t a surprise that the Denver Broncos moved on from Vic Fangio after their regular-season finale. After all, he notched a 19-30 record with the team as their head coach. He never won more than seven games or led his team to the playoffs despite always having defensive studs and playmakers on the offensive side of the ball.

Having ineffective play at the quarterback position probably influenced that to some degree, but the only constant in the NFL is change, and Fangio is, all of a sudden, back in pro football’s version of the unemployment line. He probably won’t stay there long though.

His knowledge of defense is without rival. Adding him to the Eagles staff would be the equivalent of what they have in Jeff Stoutland on the offensive side of the ball. The question is whether or not Philly’s brass would show any interest.

Fangio should be on a list made by every team searching for an offensive coordinator, but the Birds could turn a blind eye. The same can be said about Wink Martindale. We’ve seen this before.

They tend to ignore experienced guys that we know, electing instead to go with guys who are less sought after in an attempt to find those diamonds in the rough. How do you think Jonathan Gannon got here?

We’ll see how things go, but if Gannon accepts a job elsewhere. These are four guys that the Eagles would have to consider.
