Chasen Hines. 2. player. 817. . Guard. Tigers

The Philadelphia Eagles add depth options, a future starter in rounds two, three, and four.

It’s always wise to strengthen the trenches on both sides of the ball in every NFL Draft, and in this scenario, as they did a season ago, the Birds go with an interior offensive lineman from the SEC in Round 2. It’s Chasen Hines of the LSU Tigers.

The reason? It’s simple. There are three. Isaac Seumalo is coming off of an injury. One, Brandon Brooks has retired. Second, Jack Driscoll has finished the season on Philly’s injured reserve in each of his first two seasons.

. safety. Fighting Illini . Kerby Joseph. 3. player. 807

If the Eagles decide to move on from Rodney McLeod and Anthony Harris, their top two safeties from the 2021 roster, K’Von Wallace and Marcus Epps would be the top guys left if nothing else changed. That isn’t ideal.

Round 3 is a nice spot to go with a safety prospect, and Kerby Joseph, while having played his college ball at a school most of us didn’t watch, is one of the better mid-round options at the position.

829. . Tight end. Crimson Tide . Cameron Latu. 4. player

You’re allowed to feel however you want to about the Eagles’ tight-end grouping, but here are a few things to think about. Once you get past Dallas Goedert, it’s hard to get charged up about the big former quarterback that’s trying to make a position switch (Tyree Jackson) and Jack Stoll.

This team can’t keep bringing back Richard Rodgers every season. It’s for that reason that we’ll go with Cameron Latu in Round 4. We have him ranked as the fifth-best tight end behind Jalen Wydermyer, Charlie Kolar, Jeremy Ruckert, and Jake Ferguson. We also expect Cade Otton and Will Mallory to re-establish themselves with strong offseasons.

That being said, we see no reason why Cameron Latu won’t be available in Round 4.
