Philadelphia Eagles full first-round NFL mock: Will an early trade occur?

Trading back is the route the Philadelphia Eagles take at pick 16.

I would be surprised if Howie Roseman uses all three first-round picks in 2022 without making a trade. It’s less likely that he will put all of his eggs into one basket.

While this year’s quarterback class isn’t the most enticing on paper, there are certainly a few teams who will try and move up to secure their guy. Kenny Pickett and Matt Corral might both be off the board here but names like Malik Willis and Sam Howell may still be on everyone’s draft board and available.

That will put the Eagles in a position to possibly grab some top-tier talent in the 2022 draft, but that’s not how we see things playing out here. At pick sixteen, Roseman will trade back and secure more draft capital in both the 2022 NFL Draft and the one that follows one year later during the 2023 NFL offseason.
