Battle plans to help Philadelphia Eagles go all-in for Russell Wilson
No one’s letting these Eagles and Russell Wilson rumors die.
We know! We know! The Philadelphia Eagles have already committed to Jalen Hurts as their franchise quarterback. Vice president/general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni both pulled no punches as they stated, in their season-ending press conference, that Hurts is their guy and it’s the responsibility of the organization to build around him.
If we know that, why on Planet Earth are we still talking about Russell Wilson? Is it because, with no game to prepare for, we sometimes have too much time on our hands? Is this a result of boredom? Perhaps, it’s due diligence or making sure, we explore every way of thinking. Maybe it’s all of those things.
Regardless of what’s been said, we still have to acknowledge that there’s still a contingent of the Eagles fan base that would rather Wilson be the quarterback of this team than Jalen Hurts. Over time, we’ve all resigned ourselves to the fact that we don’t believe, just because the Eagles tell us something in January, that they’ll tell us the same thing in February, March, or April.
So, we’ve talked ourselves into it. We’re discussing the methods Philadelphia could use to go all-in on convincing Russell Wilson to trade one bird’s nest for another. Here are three ideas to make that happen.
