. . . JJ Arcega-Whiteside, wide receiver. 19. player. 54

Might the Eagles finally move on from their ‘enforcer’, JJ Arcega-Whiteside?

So, no one else saw Nick Sirianni call JJ Arcega-Whiteside ‘our enforcer’? When has JJ ever done anything to be called such? Let’s just start with some of the highlights of this season. Or should we call them lowlights?

On our scorecard, his most memorable moments involved moments that shouldn’t have happened. He finds his way onto the football field. He doesn’t even touch the ball, and he draws a pass-interference penalty on a pick-play. That took a touchdown off of the board.

Oh, that’s right… He’s a great blocker! That’s why he’s here! We’ll go with that. Then again, you can’t bring that up without mentioning the time he blocked a defender onto the back of Jason Kelce’s legs. That caused an injury that the legend dealt with for the remainder of the season.

There’s the drop in the end zone versus the Dallas Cowboys in the season finale. No comment…

JJAW is one of the more abhorrent wide receivers that has ever played for this team, and that’s saying a lot. Thankfully, Howie Roseman has stopped trying to convince us that the next season will provide the breakout. Hopefully, everything he’s been seeing will finally talk him into moving on and finding a trade partner. At this point, we’ll take anything.

A seventh-rounder? That’s fine with us! All JJ is doing at this point is occupying a roster spot that could be given to someone more deserving.
