1. The Eagles could strike gold by drafting Jason Kelce’s replacement.

The Philadelphia Eagles did major work in the 2021 NFL Draft. In addition to landing a Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver, DeVonta Smith, they added some talented but raw players like Milton Williams and Tarron Jackson. They also landed the man that many draft pundits believed to be the selection meeting’s best interior offensive lineman in Landon Dickerson.

Might they repeat that feat in 2022? There are a lot of trusted voices that see that as a possibility.

Former Iowa Hawkeyes standout Tyler Linderbaum is the most recent Rimington Trophy winner and the best interior lineman in the coming draft. If he slides to the Eagles at 15, something that people see as a possible scenario, he should be a no-brainer and Philly’s selection there.

Jason Kelce is a surefire Hall of Famer. Who knows how much longer he’ll play, but the Birds can make the transition a seamless one.

Lane Johnson has quietly made his pitch for Canton as well, and the Birds’ cupboard is also stocked with future Pro Bowlers like Jack Driscoll, Landon Dickerson, and Jordan Mailata. Coach Stout must also be credited with much of their success as well. You do realize that Mailata never even played American football before the 2018 NFL season, right?

If the Birds add Linderbaum it could be game over. Seumalo and Dickerson are studs. Mailata is a monster. Driscoll, if he can stay healthy, is a road-grader on the right side. You already know what Johnson is capable of.

Can you see it? We’re talking about the best O-line in the NFL for years to come. That will continue to ensure the Eagles of having one of the best running games in all of pro football. It also keeps the quarterback in a vertical position. That’s always a great idea when you play in the NFL.

We’re in on the hype train. Get Linderbaum to Philly. He isn’t as athletic as Jason Kelce, but who is? Coach Stout is a legend though. He’d turn Linderbaum into a perennial Pro Bowler in no time.
