Could Pederson be joined by one of the better players he had on this Eagles roster?

You’ve heard this said a time or two. It’s just as true now as it’s always been. As an NFL franchise, it’s never a bad idea to have a roster that features a healthy mix of proven veterans and young stars. The Eagles seem to have that now. The Jags have an opportunity to build something special during the coming offseason.

The Jags own the first-overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft. They’re also home to last year’s belle of the ball, quarterback Trevor Lawrence. This team has more than $60 million in cap space, and they have key pieces like Josh Allen, Laviska Shenault, and Travis Etienne who returns from injury next year. Jacksonville has an opportunity to get really good and do so really quickly.

Now, while no one can confirm or deny that Rodney McLeod would be one of Jacksonville’s targets this offseason, here’s what we do know. They could use some help at safety, and Doug likes to have guys around that he knows.

Entering a new situation, it wouldn’t hurt to have a veteran presence that he can rely on. McLeod definitely fits that bill. He’s one of the Eagles’ impending unrestricted free agents. So far, there’s been no deal. A lot can happen between now and March, but it appears that Rodney could be searching for a new home.

The Birds would miss his leadership, but being in a transition period themselves, we could see Philly move on. Jacksonville seems like it’s as good a landing spot as any.
