Jason Croom, tight end (leaves)

Dallas Goedert is firmly entrenched as this team’s top tight end now. The Eagles organization loves Tyree Jackson even though he’s done nothing to prove that he deserves the confidence that’s been bestowed upon him. Jack Stoll is an excellent blocker that needs to work on his hands, but for now, he’s shown he deserves a roster spot. Noah Togiai is also in the mix as he was among the 11 players Philly signed to a futures deal at the end of Philly’s season.

Jason Croom’s lone reception with the Eagles resulted in a touchdown, but that was also during the 2020 NFL season. There’s no need to continue to hand out a deal here, but if necessary, he could be brought back in an emergency.

Genard Avery, linebacker (leaves)

Genard Avery hasn’t met expectations since his arrival in Philadelphia. What’s sad about that is those expectations weren’t very high anyway.

That can be chalked up to the fact that Avery’s ceiling is ‘good but not great’ or the Eagles don’t know how to utilize him properly or both. In either case, this team is better suited to move on and explore options in free agency or the draft.
