Christian Harris, linebacker. . player. 829. . .

Christian Harris would give the Eagles another playmaker at linebacker.

At this point, it seems like we’ve discussed the Eagles’ failures at addressing the linebacker position enough. It seems like, every time we do so, we have to mention the fact that they haven’t taken one in the first round of any draft since 1979.

So, naturally, every time either one of those points is brought up, it seems like we’re wallowing in redundancy, but how can you ignore any of that? It’s a part of every annual draft discussion because every year it feels like Philly has huge holes to fill at the linebacker position.

Fear not. With three first-round selections, many believe that this might be the year in which the Birds reverse the trend.

With Damone Clark (LSU Tigers), Devin Lloyd (Utah Utes), Nakobe Dean (Georgia Bulldogs) turning heads, Birds fans are interested, but some value Zakoby McClain (Auburn Tigers) higher than Dean. Some are also wondering why Bama’s Christian Harris isn’t getting more buzz.

Harris can play inside, and he can play outside. If Philly is unable to land Clark, Lloyd, or Dean, Alabama’s young star could be a nice compilation prize on Day 2 of the selection meeting.
