The Eagles’ backing of Jalen Hurts isn’t keeping their name out of any rumors.

Feel free to stop us if any of this sounds familiar. No one questions Jalen Hurts‘ commitment to his craft, his work ethic, or his leadership. Every question about Jalen Hurts stems from the fact that people doubt his ability to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to wins consistently versus the likes of the NFL’s elite stars like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.

He’s been called a bad draft choice, the next Russell Wilson, ‘limited’, and a dual-threat that can beat you with his arm and his legs, but again, stop us if any of this sounds familiar. He’s auditioning for the right to be Philadelphia’s quarterback for years to come. Isn’t that the same thing that we were saying during the last offseason?

It’s only February, and the rumor mill is churning. Some believe that patience is key. Others believe that it’s time to go shopping. More than likely, we’ll know about any unexpected deals when they’re on the verge of happening. Still, for the sake of argument, just in case the Birds are ‘evaluating EVERY position’ as Howie Roseman puts it, here are six quarterbacks on the NFL’s carousel that Philadelphia would be wise to steer clear of.
