Every once in a while, you have to give the Eagles G.M. some credit.

The Philadelphia Eagles, more often than we would have liked, have had serious issues with having expensive players being on their list of injured guys who are unable to play on gamedays. It’s almost sad when we think about how many times we’ve talked about someone they should have moved off of a year ago and why player A makes so much money when they’re never on the field.

They’ve also often, for that reason among others, been unable to be competitive in free agency. You already know about the criticism we’ve all thrown in the leadership’s direction for making bad draft choices.

If you’ve ever been hazy about why Howie Roseman takes so much criticism, look no further than the frequency with which the above scenarios have happened. That alone should explain everything for you.

Howie takes his fair share of heat, but every once in a while, he has moments of brilliance. Just when you’re an inch away from giving up on him entirely, he does something to make you believe again. See these five names on this list for reference, and throw them in the category of the best Eagles free-agent signings of all time.

Here’s a spoiler. Vinny Curry, Malik Jackson, and Andrew Sendejo didn’t make the list.
