Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has to be partially responsible for some of this.

Well, you had to know we’d connect the dots here. As soon as you saw the blue and white of the Indianapolis Colts jersey, you knew where this was headed.

As you know, Nick Sirianni, before being hired to serve as the Eagles’ 24th head coach, was the Indianapolis Colts’ offensive coordinator from 2018 to 2020. Indy added Pascal in 2018 as well after failed stints with Washington and the Tennessee Titans.

Zach started 32 of 51 in-game appearances under Sirianni’s watch. That includes one start in three playoff games. The results are as follows: 117 receptions, 1,554 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns. Pascal added another 38 receptions, 384 yards, and three touchdowns to the Colts’ cause in 2021.

We understand the connection. We know why Zach Pascal is a member of the Eagles now. All we’re saying is this.

If this doesn’t work and Pascal has somewhere around 30 receptions and 250 to 275 yards receiving in Week 14 and Philadelphia’s coaching staff refuses to take him out due to being stubborn, Howie Roseman will be blamed, and fans will be right in their desire to point the finger and complain.

Try not to forget that Coach Sirianni has his fingerprints all over this one too though. You can’t blame Howie and not blame Nick if this goes sideways.

There’s a bright side though. Zach has a little ‘enforcer’ in him, and who doesn’t need two of those on your team? Let’s end this with a little better news and on a high note.
