Is there any chance of the Eagles moving on from JJ Arcega-Whiteside now?

It took some of us longer than others to arrive at this. Now that the dust has settled and the smoke has cleared though, it should be obvious that the Philadelphia Eagles could have done much worse than hiring Nick Sirianni.

We picked on our guy a little. Now, we’ll take up for him.

Sirianni’s guys play hard for him. There’s no denying that, and that’s important. He coaches his guys hard. Some say that Doug Pederson didn’t do that enough.

You also can’t argue that it doesn’t get much better than being the only rookie head coach to lead your team to the postseason. Nick did that with a game to spare in 2021.

He’s also good for a sound bite or two. We like talking about some of the things that he’s said, and one of his more recent statements has stuck with us all offseason. Remember when he called JJ Arcega-Whiteside ‘The Enforcer’? Well, now he has two.

There’s one aspect of Zach Pascal’s game that we haven’t detailed yet, and it’s the fact that he’s physical. A team that runs the ball will love that. While JJAW drew some praise from his head coach for his willingness to stick his head in on a few blocks, Zach earned his coach’s respect for doing the same thing in Indy a few moons ago.

You don’t need two enforcers though, and even though we may be too early in making this statement, one could reason that Pascal’s addition gives Philly cause to move on from JJ. No one’s said that’s the plan. but we won’t be surprised nor will we complain if that happens.
