The Eagles aren’t better than Dallas yet, but they’re gaining on them.

Say what you want to say about ‘Big Red’ a.k.a. Andy Reid. He never delivered that Super Bowl, but the Eagles fielded some pretty good teams while he was pacing the sidelines. There was also another component to Reid’s tenure that Birds fans tend to take for granted.

He had a winning record versus the Cowboys, and even when Dallas came out on top, Philly often had better teams in those games as well. Fast forward to 2021, and it’s Dallas that appeared to be a slightly better run organization with a better roster.

Don’t hang those heads yet though. At the rate at which the so-called America’s Team is going, balance will be restored in no time.

Much of what makes the impending collapse inevitable began prior to the current offseason. There was that massive deal that was given to the declining Ezekiel Elliott. Then Dak got all of that money. The dominoes are falling as a result, and it should be fun to watch one of the Eagles’ biggest rivals implode.

Amari Cooper is gone, and it’s been proven that Dak is better when he’s on the field. Still, if you’re looking for some of the more embarrassing stories that have come out of the great state of Texas, look no further than the team losing Randy Gregory over contract language after announcing that he had been inked to a five-year contract extension when legal tampering and the new league year got underway.

Nothing says ’embarrassing’ like inking one of your best players to a new deal and then having him stolen from you after the Broncos inked him to a five-year $70 million contract literally hours later.
