Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Linebacker. Channing Tindall. Georgia Bulldogs. 83. player. 814

The Eagles find a nice balance of potential star power and value by selecting Channing Tindall.

Much of the Eagles fan base and several members of the media have been clamoring for the selection of Nakobe Dean, but they’ll be quite satisfied with Channing Tindall. Pro Football Focus gave him an overall grade of 83. Keep in mind the fact that the 2022 season was the first in which he had been given serious playing time.

To be honest, choosing between him and Quay Walker was hard to do. Both are explosive. Both can tackle (as a matter of fact, Walker doesn’t miss any), but we’ll give Tindall a slight edge because he gets to the ball carrier in a flash, and if you’ve watched the Birds play these past two seasons, you know better than anyone that’s music to the ears.

Tindall, at six-foot-two and 230 pounds, is an inch shorter than Walker and ten pounds lighter, but we won’t and shouldn’t stress over that too much. Put a helmet on this guy and turn him loose.

We’ve all had our issues with the Eagles’ negligence in satisfying the holes they always seem to have at the linebacker position. Tindall drives a wedge in the revolving door. Watching him, T.J. Edwards, and Davion Taylor work together is going to be tons of fun.
